At this year's "Jugend forscht" competition, the Faculty of Chemistry, (Prof. Dr. Andrea Wanninger) supported a student from the Gymnasium am Moltkeplatz in Krefeld with the practical work in the OC laboratory. The supervising teacher of the Gymnasium is Mr. OStR Christian Lindner(c.lindner(at)moltke.de).
Laurenz Göring (16) is a Q 1 student and won 1st prize in physics at the regional competition in Paderborn on March 16, 2023 as well as the special prize "Quality assurance through non-destructive examination" at the state competition in Bochum on March 29, 2023. He produced and investigated environmentally friendly, low-cost emulsions using various stirring techniques.
His topic was "Preparation, characterization and application of novel pickering emulsions".
