An era is coming to an end at the Faculty of Chemistry: the two professors Ernst Cleve and Achim Eickmeier will be leaving The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) at the end of the summer semester to take their well-earned retirement. On the occasion of their farewell party, the two asked for a donation for the Krefelder Tafel e.V. charity. They raised 947 euros, which they rounded up to 1000 euros. The donation has now been handed over to Dr. Hansgeorg Rehbein (Chairman of Tafel Krefeld e.V.).
Dr. Ernst Cleve has been Professor of Physics and Data Processing since 2003 and is a founding member of the Institute for Coatings and Surface Chemistry (ILOC). Dr. Achim Eickmeier found his way to the HSNR back in 1995. He is Professor of Physics and Physical Measurement Technology including Data Processing. Eickmeier became particularly popular with students through his spectacular experiments as part of the annual Christmas lecture.
