The Faculty of Chemistry is located in the west of Krefeld in the renovated and modernized buildings of the former Textile Engineering School (Frankenring 20) and the former Dyeing and Finishing School (Adlerstraße 32).
Around 1,000 students study and work here in small groups and are supervised by 19 professors and numerous staff members. The Faculty of Chemistry provides apprenticeships for professions that require a strong chemical and also technological orientation.
The aim of the studies is to enable the graduates to enter the professional world directly by means of practical studies. This practical relevance is documented even more strongly by the programmes of cooperative engineering education and ongoing research and development work in the faculty.
It offers one of the most extensive ranges of specialization in both Bachelor's and Master's Degree programmes at universities of applied sciences in Germany.
After the master's program, the best graduates have the opportunity to pursue a cooperative doctorate in chemistry with the University of Duisburg Essen (UDE).
