The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) is very well connected both regionally and internationally.
Together with our partners worldwide, we work to provide all university members with the opportunity to acquire intercultural competence.
Less mobile students, lecturers and staff are accommodated by easily accessible short programmes abroad and on-campus initiatives (internationalisation@home).
International visitors, students, and lecturers are very welcome on our campus and benefit from advisory and support services tailored to their requirements.
For students, lecturers and members of staff
In the current university development plan "Our Way 2022 - 2026", a chapter called "strengthen internationalisation" has been included to particularly emphasise HSNR's increasing international orientation and activity.
In 2022 and 2023, therefore, a university-wide, participatory process of developing an internationalization strategy is taking place, which is expected to be completed in autumn 2023. The strategic development in these areas is of utmost importance:
- Studies and teaching
- Research and transfer
- Third mission
as well as in these overarching areas:
- Developing / implementing international recruitment strategies
- Increasing global networking
- Promoting an international university culture
Once the strategic development process has been accomplished, more information will be made available here.
