Then the Language Centres at the Hochschule Niederrhein are the right destination for you!

The campuses in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach offer a wide range of courses. In addition to curricular language courses for the individual faculties, extra-curricular courses are also available in 10 different languages: English, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Turkish, Chinese and German as a Foreign Language.

The language course levels are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The Language Centres offer courses during the lecture period and during the semester break. Here you can find the events for the Krefeld location:

Attention: Admission to a language course (for English) can only be granted with a valid placement test or proof of the required level.

Curricular course participants take a placement test at the beginning of their first semester. If taking a language course voluntarily, please make an appointment for advising.

Participation in all courses of the Language Centre is only possible after prior registration. Since we unfortunately only have limited capacities, we recommend that you pay attention to the current notices with the registration dates and register as soon as possible!
