Welcome to the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences!

On the following pages, we have compiled useful information and interesting facts for your start to your degree programme.

The introductory events and preliminary courses are organised by the respective departments and start at different times. As we strongly recommend that you take part, please check your department's website in good time to find out when and where they start.

Please also take part in the introductory events if you have not yet enrolled but intend to do so!

If you have any needs at the events due to a disability or chronic illness, please let the department know in good time so that we can respond to them.

There will also be a joint Freshers' Party for all first-semester students at the Mönchengladbach campus. We offer a shuttle service for students from Krefeld.

Welcome to The Hochschule Niederrhein!

We would like to celebrate the start of your studies with you and are organising a campus party in Mönchengladbach. Numerous university facilities will be on site, such as the Asta, the HSNR racing team, Student Degree Programme Counselling, Equal Opportunities and University Sports.

Of course, you will also have the opportunity to chat to your new fellow students over snacks and drinks.

The date is 24 September 2025.
