Forum Banking & Finance sheds light on difficult framework conditions for medium-sized companies

The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics of the Hochschule Niederrhein invites you to the next expenditure of the Forum Banking & Finance. On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, starting at 6 p.m. (main auditorium, Webschulstraße 41-43), the focus will be on EU taxonomy and corporate finance using the example of the medium-sized company VIBRA. This expenditure is also organized by Dr. Bernd R. Müller, professor for general business administration, esp. finance. The entrance is free.

Many medium-size enterprises must fear for the economic survival. The expected growth rate for 2022 has been lowered to 1.4% these days. For 2023, a decline in the gross domestic product is likely. The inflation rate is expected to be eight percent by the end of the year, and around seven percent next year.

The general conditions for medium-sized companies could hardly be more depressing. At the same time, there are other challenges to be met. These include the reorganization of international supply chains, the dramatic increase in the cost of primary products and raw materials, the significant rise in energy prices, and the implementation of new regulatory requirements.

The Forum Banking & Finance takes a close look at these problems. Diplom-Kaufmann Manfred Schultheis, Managing Director of VIBRA Maschinenfabrik Schultheis GmbH & Co, will explain the current problems of German medium-sized companies from the perspective of an experienced practitioner. The financial management of the company will be covered as well as the implementation of the EU taxonomy.
