Zinc dust in anti-corrosion coatings

Today, 16 December 2024, Simon Mense successfully presented his Bachelor's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr Michael Dornbusch. As part of the Interreg project SuSuCoats, Simon investigated the use of graphene in zinc-reduced anti-corrosion coatings.

The project was carried out at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in close collaboration with TMC. Together, we were able to make significant progress in the field of sustainable corrosion protection – a topic of growing relevance in industry and research.

A big thank you to everyone involved for their support, expertise and enthusiasm for this exciting project!

We are delighted that Simon is staying at the Hochschule Niederrhein and wish him every success with his Master's degree programme!
