Children in the Second World War - traces into today

28.04.2025 17:30 - 29.04.2025 18:45

Due to the Second World War, many children and young people born between 1930 and 1945 had stressful experiences. How did these experiences shape their future lives? What traces remain in their everyday lives today? The war children of the Second World War are now senior citizens, and it is not uncommon for memories of war, hunger, bombing, expulsion or the Nazi persecution they themselves suffered to return. People around them are also confronted with this. How do we deal with the "dark shadows of our past" (Hartmut Radebold), which come to the fore both openly and in secret? The lecture explores these questions.
