As of now, the application for admission-free degree programmes is open until 15 March, admission-restricted degree programmes until 15 January and students with an international educational background until 15 December.

With this motto, Prof. Dr Susanne Meyer took office as the new President of The Hochschule Niederrhein on 1 December 2025. The Wissenschaftlicher Verein Mönchengladbach e.V. is planning a Science Slam in cooperation with The Hochschule Niederrhein!
Present your research at our first Science Slam on 13 October 2026 at 7 pm in the main auditorium in Mönchengladbach. There are no limits to the topics you can choose. Just make sure that you can present your results within ten minutes. The audience will choose the winners and the first three places will receive prizes totalling €600. The event will also include the awarding of a so-called Youth Slamer Prize, which will recognise contributions from pupils.
If you would like some more information about the Science Slam before registering or would like to check whether your project is suitable for a slam, please contact Andrea Wanninger, professor at the Faculty of Chemistry. She has already organised various science slams and will be happy to advise you(Andrea.Wanninger(at)hs-niederrhein.de).

With around 12,948 students (as of winter term 24/25), The Hochschule Niederrhein is one of the largest and best-performing universities of applied sciences in Germany. At the three locations on the Krefeld South Campus, Krefeld West Campus and Mönchengladbach Campus, students are spread across 78 Bachelor's and 34 Master's degree programmes in nine faculties. 909 employees - including 244 professors - ensure close supervision and practical orientation and applied teaching education.
