HNX informs: From young founder to head of the association - Thomas Hoppe as a guest

10.12.2025 18:30 - 20:30

What are the current challenges for founders and entrepreneurs in Germany in general - and what needs to be done to improve the framework conditions? Thomas Hoppe can and will approach this question at the next Meetup in Mönchengladbach from very different angles: firstly from the experience of his own start-ups and secondly on the basis of his many years of association work. The 37-year-old from Hanover is the national chairman of the association DIE JUNGEN UNTERNEHMER, but is also the managing director and founder of Schülerkarriere GmbH, one of Germany's largest career networks for students. Hoppe founded his first company at the age of 21, later including the office-sharing company work connect GmbH, and he also owns a consulting and investment company for start-ups.

At the invitation of nextMG member Malte Tasto, Thomas Hoppe will be our guest at the last Meetup of the year on Wednesday, 10 December at 6.30 p.m. at Café Van Dooren, Kaiserstraße 132. The Meetups are organised by the digitalisation and start-up association nextMG in cooperation with the WFMG. Participation is free of charge, for the best possible planning we ask you to register by email to meetup(at)nextmg.org. Further information can be found at https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/meetupMG/ and https://nextmg.org/.

At the event, a startup, a founding idea or a player or offer from the ecosystem is usually presented in a pitch format, followed by direct networking and dialogue among like-minded people. Please note: The nextMG association sponsors the first two drinks of the evening for each registered participant, further "rounds" must be paid for by the participants themselves. The "Van Dooren" also offers all participants the opportunity to eat something. We would be delighted if the offer was well received.
