Literary summer 2025 in the designkrefeld Shedhalle

17.07.2025 20:00 - 21:30

Sacha Bronwasser will be reading from her novel "Was du nie sehen wirst" on 17 July as part of the Literary Summer 2025 in our Shedhalle. The reading starts at 20:00 and is organised by the Niederrheinisches Literaturhaus and the Mediothek Krefeld. Marlene Jäger from Niederrheinisches Literaturhaus will hold a discussion with designkrefeld Prof.in Paula Markert before the reading.

About the novel:

1989: Marie abandons her photography studies head over heels and flees to Paris to work as an au pair - in search of distance from the betrayal committed by her great role model Flo. But the Lambert family harbours its own mysteries: why is the once wealthy Philippe now living in modest circumstances? And why did her predecessor cancel her au pair stay? Years later, after the Bataclan attack in 2015, Marie finally understands the connections - how Philippe's anxiety destroyed his life and why her own past with Flo is not yet closed.

Translated from the Dutch by Lisa Mensing.
