ADC Creative Campus at HSNR focuses on artificial intelligence

The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) and the Art Directors Club (ADC) invite you to the second ADC Creative Campus event entitled "AI - Wow is Now": The event will take place on Thursday, May 23, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the HSNR campus Krefeld West at Frankenring 20.

In a world in which technology is advancing inexorably, the question of the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the creative industries is of central importance. What is behind the current state of AI development? What opportunities does it offer creatives and what challenges does it pose? Six renowned national and international AI experts will explore these questions in the main auditorium.

The ADC Creative Campus is the first cooperative educational initiative for the creative industries between a state institution and an industry association, launched by Prof. Richard Jung, Professor of Communication Design at HSNR and honorary member of the ADC Executive Board responsible for Research & Teaching Education. "We network theory and practice in the creative industries by addressing current topics. In this way, we offer students, lecturers and professionals an exclusive opportunity for continuing education, exchange of experience, personal development and provide impetus for initiatives and inspiration for new ideas," says Prof. Jung, summarizing the intention behind the ADC Creative Campus at Hochschule Niederrhein.

The overwhelming success of the first ADC Creative Campus under the motto "AI - Boom or Bääm" in fall 2023 has shown how great the desire is in the creative industry to learn more about the topic of generative artificial intelligence. "Half a year since the last ADC Creative Campus may seem short, but in the rapid development of artificial intelligence, that is an eternity and it is therefore important to highlight these developments and discuss the latest findings," says Prof. Thorsten Kraus, who is organizing the event together with his colleagues Prof. Richard Jung and Ümut Yildiz.

The upcoming event "AI - Wow is Now" aims to redefine the boundaries of creativity and open up new horizons for the creative industries. Participants can expect an inspiring program that will provide insights into the latest developments in artificial intelligence and focus on the responsible use of this technology.

The Hochschule Niederrhein and the ADC invite everyone interested in the topic of artificial intelligence and creativity to take part in this exciting event and learn first-hand how AI is changing the world of the creative industries and how it is possible to actively shape these changes. Participation in the event is free of charge. However, to ensure security, prior registration via Eventbrite is required.
