The Hochschule Niederrhein's (HSNR) 98th edition of the Design Discussion is focussing on the topic of "Creativity and Machines". On Thursday, 16 October, Prof. Dr Erik Schmid, Dean of the Faculty of Design, will be holding a discussion with Dr Joachim Paul in the Fabrik Heeder (Studiobühne 2, Virchowstraße 130) from 8 pm. Admission to the event is free, registration is not required.
With the increasing importance of artificial intelligence (AI), humans and machines are moving ever closer together. This proximity creates synergies and requires a more conscious use of shared resources. In his essay, Joachim Paul presents alternative approaches to "co-creation" that are not only of interest to designers.
