The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) is opening its doors and invites all interested parties to its Open Days! On 13 June (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and 14 June (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the university's wide range of offers and gain insights into studies and research.

A varied programme awaits visitors at all university locations in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach as well as at the Cyber Management Campus in Mönchengladbach (Schwalmstraße 301).

Interested parties can take a look behind the scenes of the nine departments during laboratory and campus tours. Numerous workshops offer the opportunity to get hands-on - be it 3D scanning, weaving or linocutting. The workshops give a first impression of the practice-oriented degree programmes and the wide range of opportunities offered by the HSNR. Prior registration is required.

In addition to the workshops and guided tours, students present their creative work and are available to answer questions. Interested parties can obtain information about the various degree programmes and receive personal advice from the Central Student Advisory Service.

There will be a special highlight for motorsport enthusiasts: the HSNR Racing Team will be presenting its self-built electric racing car, which takes part in the international Formula Student racing series.

The MakerSpace on the Krefeld South Campus will also open its doors on Friday. During guided tours and demonstrations, visitors can gain an insight into the innovative technologies and ongoing projects in the open workshop.

The Design Summer Market takes place on Fridays at the Department of Design in Krefeld (Frankenring 20). From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., students showcase their self-designed unique pieces, handicrafts and design objects.

In Mönchengladbach, the "cpace" collective, an association of creative students from the Design and Textile and Clothing Technology faculties, will be organising creative hands-on activities and a flea and creative market in their studio (Webschulstraße 26) on both days. Here, local designers will showcase their work and offer unique, handmade products.

The Krefeld professional fire brigade will also be on site at Campus Krefeld to provide information about career opportunities.
