Sedat Dag, a master's student at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, received the third prize. In order to understand his commitment, the jury first had to close its own gaps in knowledge in the field of eSports. Sedat Dag built up the eSports department with 1,300 members at the Düsseldorf University Sports Center within three years. He now organizes and motivates other volunteer students in the enormously grown structure and has counteracted the loneliness of students, especially in Corona times.

About his motives
"I offer students from Düsseldorf a platform to gamble together and also to represent their own faculty in the university league. I played competitively myself and became German school champion in the game "League of Legends" in 2018. After graduating from high school, I wanted to continue and offer such an opportunity to others. I am already in talks with the Hochschule Niederrhein and have laid the first foundations for "Niederrhein Esport". The Discord hub gives every student access to a collection of Discord servers of their own faculty. There you can find servers for your respective faculties, clubs and co or add them yourself so they can be seen."
