The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) will open its doors for the Engineering Days on Friday, 23 January from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday, 24 January 2026 from 9 am to 1 pm. The two-day in-house exhibition presents the diversity of engineering research and provides information about programmes in the STEM field. The event takes place on the Krefeld South Campus in Building J (Obergath 79) and is aimed in particular at pupils, prospective students, parents, teachers and companies. Teachers and companies. Visitors will gain an insight into numerous student projects from teaching and research projects in the Faculties of Chemistry, Engineering and Computer Science and Industrial Engineering. The programme includes laboratory tours, exhibitions of innovative work and information talks. A special offer is the on-site Student Advice Centre: In addition to information on all engineering-related degree programmes, the Central Student Advice Centre will also be presenting the orientation semester, which starts in April 2026 and gives students an insight into various degree programmes before they decide on one. The high-tech workshop "MakerSpace" and the racing car forge "HSNR Racing" will also be there.
In addition to technical insights, the event offers comprehensive information about studies and career prospects. Lecturers, students and experts will answer questions about programme content, research fields and career opportunities in engineering and will be available for a personal exchange.
