How start-ups gain capital: Forum "Banking & Finance" at the HSNR

How do start-ups manage to convince investors and secure capital? This question will be the focus of the next expenditure of the "Banking & Finance" forum at The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR). The event will take place on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, at 6 p.m. in the main auditorium (Webschulstraße 41-43) in Mönchengladbach.

Dr Nico Peters, founder and Managing Director of Fintriq GmbH, will be the guest speaker. He will provide insights into the practical application of startup financing and show which strategies young companies use to grow and attract investors.

The talk will focus on the current start-up ecosystem in Germany. It will also shed light on how young companies differ from established organisations, for example in dealing with uncertainty, limited resources and high growth targets. The role of new technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, will also be discussed.

The event is organised by Dr Bernhard Müller, professor of General Business Administration and Economics with a specialisation in Finance at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at HSNR.

Participation is free of charge. Interested parties are asked to register by e-mail at forum_bankingandfinance(at)hs-niederrhein.de.
