Professor Dr Tobias Kimmel and Professor Dr Regina Hahn are the new chairs of the Senate of The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR). Both were unanimously elected at the constituent meeting on Monday.
Kimmel has been a professor of cleaning technology at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at HSNR since 2012. Hahn teaches business administration with a specialisation in organisational development and corporate management at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics in Mönchengladbach. The two chairmen will lead the Senate for the next two years. "The Hochschule Niederrhein is facing important strategic tasks. I look forward to working with Ms Hahn and the Senate to constructively support these tasks and represent the interests of all status groups," says Professor Dr Tobias Kimmel following his election as Senate Chair.
The Senate is a central body of academic self-administration. Among other things, it participates in the election and deselection of the Presidential Board and decides on fundamental issues relating to the strategic development of the university.
