Lecture series "What connects us..." starts on October 29 at the Future Work Lab

About building bridges, opening doors and hearts, networking, about community, public spirit and vulgarity, inter-, trans- and interdisciplinarity, about God and gods of the world and worlds and about love. The lecture series "What connects us..." starts on 29 October as part of the FAUST guest lecture program of The Hochschule Niederrhein. A total of six dates await interested citizens (all dates on Tuesdays from 5 to 6.30 p.m. in the Future Work Lab Krefeld, Petersstraße 122). Registration is not required.

As part of this lecture series, each speaker will deal with the topic of connecting. If you look up this topic on Google, it is about how we want to and can work together as a society or as part of a group. How we can interweave issues in the complex world we live in to enable development and allow for change. This concerns us all, because we are all looking for connection and bonding, whether in our everyday lives or in a professional context.

How can working in a co-working space work, for example? Is there an advantage in a place where many people work together in open-plan structures, or do you lose the need for privacy there? Can digital technology help to bring closeness and intimacy into our lives, or does digitality remain anonymous and serve to hide behind this anonymity? How visible and tangible do we want to be on the internet in order to arouse interest?

However, our individual impact on society takes place in a much larger radius. Questions about the unifying effect of art, culture and language are as old as human history itself. We would like to ask these questions about "What connects us..." and discuss them with our guests. We would like to focus on what we have in common and what is good in order to emphasize how important it is to be in relationship with one another and to interact in solidarity.
