Students network with regional companies at the annual company contact fair of the specialisation in cleaning and hygiene technology

On 12.05.2022 the annual company contact fair of the specialisation cleaning and hygiene technology in the Bachelor's degree programme industrial engineering took place again. Most of the company representatives were graduates of The Hochschule Niederrhein, which meant that conversations got underway quickly. As in previous years, the rush of companies was so great that not all companies were able to participate. These companies were penciled in for next year's event. Surprising for the students was the variety of tasks in the companies and the enthusiasm of the graduates for their tasks.

A total of nine companies presented themselves with an immense variety of fields of activity. These included Apleona Infra Services GmbH from the catering and building cleaning sector, Croda GmbH with activities in the field of natural ingredients for cosmetics and cleaning agents, and Gebäudeservice Dietrich West KG from the industrial cleaning sector. With hygiene and disinfection concepts hectas Facility Services B.V. & Co. KG convinced the jury. INSTRUCLEAN GmbH offered insights into the reprocessing of medical devices, while Klüh Service Management GmbH provided information on services in the healthcare and catering sectors, among others.
The company Rentokil Initial GmbH & Co. KG presented itself in the field of pest removal and HACCP hygiene services. WISAG Gebäudereinigung Nordwest Nord GmbH & Co. KG presented, among other things, activities in the field of food hygiene. The company SGS, which also works for Stiftung Warentest, provided the students with information on tasks in the field of application testing and laboratory analysis of cleaning agents, food and other consumer products.

Prof. Dr. Kimmel and the Faculty of Industrial Engineering are looking forward to introducing new companies to the students again next year in order to provide insights into future professional life and to promote networking between students and employers.
