The Hochschule Niederrhein invites you to "School meets University"

What does studying at The Hochschule Niederrhein look like? Pupils, teachers and other prospective students will get answers to these questions at the "School meets University" event on 10 June. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Faculties of Food and Nutrition Sciences, Social Sciences, Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology and Business Administration and Economics will open their doors and provide practical orientations into studies, research and campus life.

The programme includes open lectures, workshops, laboratory tours and personal consultations. Students and lecturers will be on hand to provide information about degree programmes, everyday study life and career prospects.

The laboratories at the Faculty of Food and Nutrition Sciences (Rheydter Str. 277) open their doors: visitors can experiment, participate and experience the work in the laboratories up close at around 15 interactive stations. Open tours start every hour from 10 a.m. in the foyer of the O-building.

The Faculty of Applied Social Sciences (Richard-Wagner-Straße 101) starts at 9 a.m. with a welcome in lecture hall V1, followed by lectures on "Empirical Social Research", the "Indoor Project" and "(Post-)Migration Society".

The Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology (Webschulstraße 31) will be providing information about study opportunities and career prospects at 9am, 11am and 1pm. There will also be laboratory tours, insights into the VirtualLab and open lectures on topics such as "Technical Textiles", "Clothing Production Engineering" and "Fashion Retailing".

The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (Webschulstraße 41-43) also offers insights into various faculties with its "Taster Business Administration and Economics Programme". Lectures on human resources, marketing, procurement and controlling as well as campus tours and discussion formats such as "Meet a Professor" and "Meet a Student" round off the programme.

In addition, the Central Student Advice Centre will provide information about the HSNR's programmes and answer questions about applications, choosing a course and organising your studies. Parallel to the event, "Next Stop: Career Entry" will take place from 9 am to 3 pm. Companies will present themselves in the O-building and provide information about internships, career paths and entry opportunities.
