Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.
The Hochschule Niederrhein will host the Engineering Days on January 19 and 20.

Science you can touch: Engineering Days for those interested in technology at the HSNR

On January 19 and 20, the four technical faculties of the HSNR will be presenting themselves - with advice, information, tips and exciting projects.

At the Krefeld South Campus (parking lots at Obergath 79) of The Hochschule Niederrhein, you can get your hands on applied science: At the Engineering Days on Friday, January 19 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and Saturday, January 20 (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.), the four Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical and Process Engineering and Industrial Engineering will be presenting themselves.

At the two-day in-house exhibition in the foyer of the J-building, visitors will get to know the campus and the laboratories, learn more about the students' teaching education and research projects and receive tips and information on applications and registration from the Student Advice Center. They can also get advice from expert representatives from the four faculties on the practical orientation degree programs and the orientation semester in April.

The students will be presenting their own exciting projects, including a self-driving AI waste advisor, a robot that throws darts, a logistics module for mixed vegetable crates, a cocktail machine and a robot gripper.

Former or dual students will be on hand to answer questions about everyday working life and report on their experiences at their company.

If you would like to see which self-built racing car the students are driving around the Hockenheimring and competing in the Formula Student racing series, you can see for yourself on site. The HSNR racing team designs, builds and markets its own vehicles.

In the MakerSpace, students test their knowledge from lectures with professional support and put it directly into practical application. At the Engineering Days, they present exactly what they have tinkered with there.

The event is free of charge and registration is not necessary. If you would like to come along with your school class or a course, the HSNR will be happy to arrange an additional program for you. Registration at: Student Advice(at)hs-niederrhein.de
