University staff take part in the WDR 2 Christmas Miracle
From 12 to 16 December 2026, the WDR 2 Christmas Miracle will be stopping off at Europlatz in Mönchengladbach. We, the members of the Hochschule Niederrhein, are taking part: from now on, students, lecturers, researchers and employees are collecting donations to combat global hunger under the slogan‘Knowledge creates miracles’.
The WDR 2 Christmas Miracle is a multi-day fundraising campaign organised by WDR in collaboration with ‘Aktion Deutschland Hilft’. Live broadcasts will take place round the clock from a glass-walled studio – on the radio, on television and via livestream.
Our campaign is an initiative organised by members of the university community, not by the university as an institution. All donations go directly to the donation account held with ‘Aktion Deutschland Hilft’.
