PhD student Tobias Bolten presented a current result from the 'plsm' research project at the 19th International Conference on Computational Science.

Under the workshop motto "bringing together computer vision, sensor networks and machine learning", a clustering-based approach to people tracking using a dynamic vision sensor was presented. This is an optical sensor which, in contrast to conventional cameras, only records changes in the scene under observation. This makes it possible to monitor an area while ensuring anonymity at the same time.

The work was developed as part of the "Public Life Smart Measurement" (plsm) research project. Further information on this project can be found on the website plsm-project.com.
