In the interdisciplinary Mechatronics Mechatronics degree programme, you will learn how to develop intelligent components and systems and create innovative solutions.
You will start with the foundation courses in electrical engineering and computer science and expand your acquired knowledge with subjects from mechanical engineering. You will also learn technical English and project management. You will apply your skills in a project of your choice. If you are interested, our study programme also allows you to gain experience abroad through the mobility window.
Interesting detail: Within the first year, you can switch between the B.Eng. Mechatronics and B.Eng. Electrical Engineering without any losses.
With your knowledge from your Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, you will be of great interest to a wide range of companies, as you will be working at the interface between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. Interdisciplinary work is therefore a matter of course for you. You can develop complex mechatronic systems and implement the latest control strategies in software in order to contribute to innovative solutions. Employers are, for example
- Large automotive companies or suppliers that are driving forward electromobility and autonomous driving,
- companies that develop intelligent components and systems, and
- small companies or start-ups that require interdisciplinary knowledge.
The Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics qualifies you for the consecutive Master's degree programme in Mechatronics.
Tip: The degree programme can also be taken in the summer semester as Mechatronics with an orientation semester.
