Upon successful completion of the course, graduates are able to carry out activities in practice-, organisation- and research-related fields of activity on the basis of scientific knowledge. The studies pursue an empirical-scientific approach by teaching midwifery skills and enabling students to act in an evidence-based obstetric manner. The degree leads to the qualification for admission to a relevant Master's programme.
The content of the studies is based on three specialisations:
- Foundation course of professional midwifery action
- Responsibility and management of complex midwifery practice
- Clinical-practical competences (practical phases)
