Short description

The Chemistry and Biotechnology degree programme prepares students for a career in the production and use of chemical products and their applications. Topics such as sustainability, digitalisation and automation as well as the chemistry of renewable and recyclable raw materials play an important role here. Students can specialise in the following areas during their studies: Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics, Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis with Environmental Protection and Water Analysis.

Career profile in chemistry and biotechnology

The Faculty of Chemistry at our university trains students for careers that require a strong chemical and (bio)technological orientation. The field of activity of our graduates covers a wide range of possible areas of employment, e.g. in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, the food industry, agricultural and environmental technology, the biotechnical industry, in analytical laboratories, scientific institutes or even in government investigation offices. Here, for example, you will work as
