Short description

The Design Engineering (f/m/d) degree programme combines creativity with science.

The basic studies include engineering topics such as mathematics and thus enable the remarkable interdisciplinary expertise that sets it apart from the usual design degrees. After the basic studies, a distinction can be made between the Textile and Fashion programmes. Textile design engineers deal with surfaces in the entire textile world, while fashion design engineers specialise in the clothing industry. The combination of a scientific basis and creative expertise paves the way for a successful entry into the world of textiles. Compulsory elective courses can also be taken to advance personal interests. The faculty also offers advanced Master's degree programmes.
