Prerequisites for admission to the Master's programme are

• Proof of completion of a relevant or related Bachelor's or Diplom degree programme at a German university or a degree at a foreign university that is at least equivalent to the aforementioned; Relevant degree programmes include Oecotrophology, Nutritional Sciences, Nutrition and Home Economics, Nutrition and Food Sciences, Nutrition Therapy, Nutrition and Supply Management, Nutritional Management and Dietetics as well as Catering and Hospitality Services; other degree programmes in the field of Nutrition and Food Sciences as well as corresponding teacher training programmes can be classified as related if at least eight of these areas of competence have been achieved in the studies:
  - Nutritional Physiology and/or Biochemistry,
  - Nutrition of Population Groups,
  - Commodity Science and/or Food Processing,
  - Food Chemistry and/or Food Technology,
  - Foundations of Dietetics,
  - Counselling,
  - Foundations of Sociology and/or Psychology,
  - Business management foundations and/or marketing,
  - legal studies/food law,
  - project management,
  - mathematics/statistics,
  - laboratory experience in chemistry and/or biochemistry/toxicology,
  - relevant practical experience after the third specialisation semester.
• a final grade in the relevant degree programme of at least "good" (2.5)
