The Degree programme Health Care (M.Sc.) is an application and research-oriented degree programme and pursues a scientific-empirical approach.

The Master's in Health Care is offered in two different specialisations:

  • Management
  • Health Sciences

Students must choose one of the specialisations upon registration.

Access requirements

For admission to the area of specialisation in Health Sciences, proof of a first professionally qualifying Bachelor's degree programme in the field of Health Sciences or a comparable subject must be provided.

The degree programme must include the following:
- 20 ECTS credits from the fields of human biology or medicine and
- 15 ECTS credits from the field of empirical-methodological foundation courses (statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, database management)


For admission to the area of specialisation Management, proof of a first professionally qualifying Bachelor's degree programme (e.g. Business Administration and Economics, Economics or Business Administration or Health Management) is required.

The degree programme must include the following:
- at least 35 ECTS points in the field of business administration, economics, health economics or statistics, of which.
~ at least 25 ECTS credits in the field of business administration and
~ at least 5 ECTS credits in the field of economics, health economics or statistics


The Examinations Board makes the necessary determinations after submission of suitable documents and possibly after a personal interview.

Missing content specific to the specialisation can be made up at the Faculty of Health Care.

You will then be forwarded directly to the online registration and can upload the required documents.
If you fulfil all the admission requirements, you are guaranteed a place on the course.

You must have the required degree by the time of registration at the latest.
