2nd R(h)einTex regulars' table

After a successful kick-off event: textile recycling get-together on the Lower Rhine enters its second round

The research projects R(h)einTex - Recycling through innovation in the textile industry on the Lower Rhine and KlarTEXT once again invited regional stakeholders to exchange ideas. The aim of the recycling project, which was launched in 2024, is to transfer the textile and clothing industry in the Middle Lower Rhine region into a real circular economy. Three institutes at The Hochschule Niederrhein are researching this forward-looking project. Following the great success of the first meeting in regulars' table format last year in Mönchengladbach, a second exchange took place on 3 April 2025 as part of the R(h)einTex research project. This time too, the event was well attended and brought together textile experts from industry and science to discuss current topics in textile recycling. The focus was particularly on the challenges of sorting purity and the automation of sorting processes. Further information on the event can be found here.

In 2025, two further regulars' tables with different core topics are planned at different venues.
