The 18th Congress of the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) took place in Bonn from 26 August to 29 August 2025. NIERS was represented at the congress with a poster on the paper "Bioeconomy enters the market: The effect of bioeconomy policies on stock market returns", which is based on results from the AUFBRUCH research project. The study deals with the market perception of European and American bioeconomy strategies and is the result of a collaboration led by Florian Grebe (NIERS), Leonard Grebe (TU Darmstadt) and Daniel Hermann (University of Bonn).
The project AUFBRUCH deals with the transformation towards a sustainable bioeconomy in the Rhenish mining area and general (regional) economic facets and implications of a bioeconomy.
