Research in dialogue: NIERS in the "Coffee Break" podcast

Professor Dr Angelika Krehl was a guest on the podcast "Kaffeepause" by Prof. Dr habil. Jürgen Karla and talks about the work of the NIERS - Niederrhein Institute for Regional and Structural Research (NIERS) at the Hochschule Niederrhein, Campus MG, Faculty of Business Administration and Economics.

The discussion focussed on current, socially relevant and economically pressing issues that NIERS is currently working on in research and teaching education. These include (regional) innovation systems, the bioeconomy and the textile industry in the context of the circular economy, as well as (female) entrepreneurship and sustainability. The aim of NIERS' research work is to generate well-founded knowledge and to put this up for discussion both regionally and in the scientific community, to develop it further in partnership and to transfer it into application.

In addition to technical topics, Jürgen Karla and Angelika Krehl also talked about the integration of teaching education and research and the relevance of NIERS for the university and the region.
