Ms Sarikaya completed her Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics with a specialisation in "Management & Marketing" at the University of Wuppertal and then worked at Commerzbank AG, first as a corporate client advisor and then as Manager Corporate Banking. Since 2020, she has been employed at the Institute for SME Research at the University of Mannheim and has been working on her doctorate on the topic of "Aspiring Entrepreneurs in Germany - Potentials and Pitfalls in the Start-Up Process" at the Chair of SME Research and Entrepreneurship since 2023.
At NIERS, Ms Sarikaya will primarily focus on the topics of entrepreneurship and regional development.
