Over 300 young companies, around 90 speakers and many investors came together at the Future Tech Fest at the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf on 11 September. The trade fair is considered one of the most important events in Germany for new business models between companies, focussing on networking and joint project development.

Sarah Brechmann and Fabian Mertens attended on behalf of the RediStar project and took the opportunity to exchange ideas with founders and other industry experts. The SHE Stage was particularly exciting. This stage was designed by and for women. It offered space for discussions about start-up ideas, experiences and the role of women in the economy. The aim was to learn from and support each other. The topics ranged from new digital ideas to questions about how companies can work more sustainably.

For RediStar, the exchange at the trade fair was particularly important in order to further deepen insights into the start-up scene and expand the network. The team was particularly pleased to meet up with existing project partners.
