During the winter seminar, Florian Grebe had the opportunity to present preliminary research results on the topic of biomass in the regional innovation system of the bioeconomy. The research work looks at the effects of biomass as a particularly complex raw material for industry on the associated innovation system. The data collection is taking place within the framework of the AUFBRUCH graduate cluster and has not yet been completed.
In the AUFBRUCH project, NIERS is focussing on the transition to a sustainable bioeconomy in the Rhenish mining region and on the general (regional) economic aspects and effects of a bioeconomy. Further information can be found here.
