Jule Grienitz: Consensus - protection and pleasure

03.12.2025 14:00 - 16:00

Jule Grienitz works as a social worker and specialist in the prevention of sexualised violence with children, young people and adults. Her workshops and training courses centre around a key topic that is crucial for consensual sexual encounters: Consent.
The topic of 'consent' includes protection against boundary violations and assaults in the context of intimate situations. It is about empathy, maintaining personal boundaries and achieving consent. It also leads us to the challenges of open communication about needs and desires. "No means no" is the starting point for self-determined sexuality. Feeling and verbalising a "no" becomes possible above all when there is an idea of the "yes!", of the desired sexual acts.
In this lecture, we will deal with both areas of the concept of consent using theoretical inputs, reflection impulses and practical exercises. We will explore the question of what it takes to communicate clearly about boundaries and preferences and what we can all gain from this.

The lecture is funded by the Equal Opportunities Office of the University of Applied Sciences South Westphalia.
