Impressions from the workshop "Do you always stand in the last row for the group photo?" with Susanne Kurz

The workshop "Do you always stand in the last row for the group photo?" took place on two consecutive days at The Hochschule Niederrhein, first in the J-Building on the Krefeld South Campus and then in Mönchengladbach. With its modern architecture, the Krefeld J-Building provided a great backdrop for photos in a professional context.

Under the guidance of Susanne Kurz, photographer, speaker and expert for professional public image, the participants learnt how to present themselves authentically, competently and confidently in front of the camera. Many of us know the feeling: at work, you impress with your competence and demeanour, but as soon as the camera is pointed at you, you suddenly seem more reserved than you actually are.

This is exactly where the workshop came in. Through practical exercises, targeted tips and individual feedback, Susanne Kurz showed how small changes in posture, expression and body language can have a big impact. The direct photo comparisons were particularly exciting - the before and after pictures made it impressively clear how much appearance and charisma can change when you consciously step in front of the camera.

It took some courage to go out on a limb and try something new, but the results spoke for themselves. Thanks to the professional guidance and the positive, appreciative atmosphere, all participants felt at ease. The resulting photos will be made available afterwards, a valuable memento and at the same time motivation to confidently apply what they have learnt in the future.
