Equal Oppotunities in the summer Campus Week 2024

As part of Campus Week from 21-24 May 2024, Equal Oppotunities organized various events.

The first event was "Investing on a small salary!" on Thursday at the Krefeld South Campus. Speaker Claudia Müller showed the participating students and employees what is important when it comes to financial planning and how investments can be made even on a small salary to provide for old age. The interest of the participants was so great that the workshop, which was scheduled for three hours, once again turned into four hours.

Under the quote "You must not believe everything you think!" by Heinz Erhardt, another event was held on Friday: "You must not believe everything you think" - Unconscious Bias and what we can do about it" with Muriel Aichberger.

Muriel Aichberger once again showed how unconscious biases, shaped by upbringing, norms and our environment, can influence our intuitive formation of opinion.

With exciting, astonishing and vivid examples, he showed the participants how our brain works and how we can take action against prejudice.

The WenDo courses for FLINTA* planned together with the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences unfortunately had to be canceled due to illness.
