After each event, we ask for feedback on the content, structure, speakers and personal benefit. Over a period of sixteen months, this resulted in 381 valid responses containing 3,810 individual ratings, which we have now analysed comprehensively for the first time.
A clear verdict
91.6 per cent are satisfied with our events. The statement that the speakers take the participants seriously achieved the highest score in the entire questionnaire: 92.1 per cent agree with it wholeheartedly.
The open-ended responses confirm this. The speakers’ expertise is praised above all else, followed by the supportive atmosphere and the practical relevance. “Participants are addressed on an individual basis,” writes one participant. Around a quarter see no need for change at all.
More time, more discussion, more depth
Where wishes were expressed, they were almost never directed against the programme itself, but rather at its expansion: more scope for discussion, more time for the topics, and follow-up sessions for events already attended. Nine responses explicitly called for advanced courses.
In terms of preferred topics, finance, pensions and retirement provision lead the way with 27 mentions, and in a more specific form than previously offered: ETFs and investment, occupational pensions, property purchase, inheritance law and employment law. These are followed by equality and gender issues, as well as presentation skills, public speaking and assertiveness.
The most important factor for future planning: nothing boosts satisfaction as much as the feeling of having learnt something practical.
Students are expressly welcome!
One finding stands out in particular: students rate the events even more highly than employees, yet they account for only 88 of the 381 responses. Yet the programme is often explicitly aimed at all university members. For those who have hesitated so far: the feedback speaks for itself!
