What an impressive result: as part of a two-semester indoor project, 20 students of cultural education have realised an interactive exhibition - with photographs, sculptures and touch and smell stations. They were supervised by contract lecturers Ria Unverzüglich and Birte Jürgens from the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences.
The exhibition showed how closely the body, society and power are interwoven - and how art can make these connections visible. The topic of violence also found its place and made a clear statement in the context of the Orange Days.
The students' statements, which summarised their artistic attitude, were particularly impressive:
- "Our body is not a trend"
- "Our diversity is revolution"
- "Beauty is political"
- "It belongs to all of us"
- "Beauty is you. You and me."
- "Our bodies are political."
A big thank you to everyone involved for this intensive, courageous and creative debate!
