Organized by Equal Opportunities and Nina Ilina from the Sustainability and Diversity Support Office, students and employees of the university gathered in the foyer of the J-Building on Krefeld South Campus to exchange ideas. There was a lively exchange between queer members of the university and allies with lots of information material, which was also contributed by LGBTQIA+ initiatives outside the university, snacks and background music by the Chair of our Equal Opportunities Commission Prof. Dr. Markus Lake from the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering.
New contacts were made and intensified in a friendly and open atmosphere, and events and initiatives were presented. We were particularly pleased with how cross-generational the meeting was: We were able to look back on a good 25 years of queer life at the university.

We would like to thank Sam Weyergraf and Johanna Matthes in particular for the successful organization and hope that word will spread about this all-round successful evening so that we will see many more new faces at the follow-up event in the winter semester!

We already have some great ideas for the next meeting at the Mönchengladbach campus.
