On 13 April 2026, the fifth PrideProgress network meeting took place on the Mönchengladbach campus, this time in ZE36. Despite the cool April weather, many interested people came together to exchange ideas and make new contacts.
A practical activity was also on the programme this time: under the guidance of the team from the surface technology laboratory, the participants were able to enamel. Small pieces of jewellery were created in a furnace heated to 800 °C, which were later taken away as pendants or simply as small mementos of the day.
The PrideProgress network was launched in 2023 and has since provided a space for queer students, employees and allies at The Hochschule Niederrhein to meet and exchange ideas. The aim is to make diversity visible and strengthen joint commitment.
The next network meeting is planned for the winter semester 2026/27 and will take place on 8 October 2026 in the Shedhalle. Ideas and suggestions can be sent by email to prideprogress(at)hsnr.de.
