Under the motto "Hochschule Niederrhein - Your way", the NRW talent scouting team at HSNR supports and accompanies talented individuals in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and the district of Viersen.
With its talent scouting programme, the university is part of a network of colleges and universities that aims to open doors for people and pave the way to a professional future that suits them individually.

Through needs-based and continuous support, talent scouting helps to break through predetermined biographies.
Talent scouting is about the individual development of each person. The starting point is not so much studies or apprenticeships, but the individual person and the path that suits them best.
We offer Consultation hours at our partner schools. During the consultation hours, we advise the students with an open mind. Together, we develop a target vision that is based on the strengths, interests and potential of the students.
As talent scouts, we support young people and young adults on their journey from school, through (dual) studies or apprenticeships and into professional life.
We organise needs-oriented multimedia offers for career and study orientation in order to promote the best possible career or study choice and initiate measures to facilitate the transition from school to (dual) studies or vocational training.
Over the years, a large network of schools, social institutions and companies from the region has grown at our university, whose expertise is included in the planning of offers and measures.

As your contact person, we are there to advise you at school, when deciding whether to pursue vocational training or studies and on your way into working life.
We talk about your goals, dreams and wishes. Together we develop a career plan and discuss the necessary steps to achieve it. We accompany you on the way to realising your vision for your professional future for as long as you need us.

The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) was included in the talent scouting programme of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MKW NRW) for the first time in September last year. Three HSNR talent scouts are now starting their work advising young talents from the eleventh grade onwards at schools in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and the district of Viersen.

Talent scouts delighted with 20th declaration of participation
On 10 April, the programme management of the talent scouting programme and the school management of the Berufskolleg Rhein-Maas signed the 20th declaration of participation in the talent scouting programme.
The signing is an important milestone in the cooperation between the vocational college and the university as well as another significant step towards promoting equal opportunities and education in the region. The aim is to establish regular counselling sessions at the schools as a first step. This will create direct contact with talented young people.
The talent scouting programme is intended to provide long-term support for pupils and help them to recognise and exploit their potential in order to facilitate their successful entry into studies or professional life.
The Hochschule Niederrhein has been included in the Ministry of Culture and Science's talent scouting programme for the first time. The programme sponsors talented young people who come from less privileged families than others. The talent scouts are employed at vocational colleges, comprehensive schools and grammar schools in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and Viersen.
