This spring, HSNR is once again calling for a joint clean-up campaign on the campuses in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. Students and staff have the opportunity to get active themselves and set an example together for more sustainability and a clean campus.

The campaigns are supported by the cities of Krefeld and Mönchengladbach, which provide materials and collect the collected waste afterwards.

The clean-up campaigns will take place on the following dates:

Krefeld South Campus, 23 April 2026
Meeting point: in front of Building J

Krefeld West campus, 29 April 2026
Meeting point: University garden at the Frankenring main entrance

Mönchengladbach campus, 30 April 2026
Meeting point: inner courtyard in front of Building Z

From 2 pm to 4 pm

Afterwards, there is the opportunity to end the afternoon together on campus. So that the clean-up zones can be better planned, please send a short re-registration by email to nachhaltigkeit(at)hs-niederrhein.de

Following the positive re-registration of "Technology for Grandparents" in previous years, the series of events will also be advanced in 2026.

"Technology for Grandparents" is aimed at grandparents, parents and other interested adults as well as (grand)children and aims to make technical and scientific topics accessible across generations.

Four thematically independent modules will be offered in 2026. Participation is free of charge.

• Electricity from light: Understanding energy conversion (10.10.)
• ElektrikTrick 2.0 - Understanding and using LEDs (9.12.)
