Auxiliary staff pool

Professors apply for an assistant from the pool of auxiliary staff. An assistant who is available and as suitable as possible is then assigned to this task until it is completed. Once the task has been completed, the assistant returns to the pool and is assigned a new task.

It is possible for you to be employed as a student or graduate assistant in the faculty's pool of assistants. The advantage for you as an assistant is that you can always discover new fields of work. Here you can gain experience for your future career and keep up with the times by working at the university.

• Supporting apprenticeships and reflections are considered paid working time.
• Tasks are assigned centrally by the faculty and the pool managers, not by individual lecturers or employees of the faculty.
• There is no fixed commitment to specific lecturers or employees of the faculty - the assignment is flexible and needs-based, depending on your availability.
• Larger events at which assistants provide support are planned jointly.
• A separate room for assistants (S 107) is available.
• Your tasks can include anything from running errands to working on research projects and teaching education in Faculty 06.
• Tasks are allocated prospectively, i.e. with forward planning, so that you can fulfil your duties as flexibly as possible.
• You will always have a direct contact person in the person responsible for pool coordination.

You do not need to have any previous experience for a position as an assistant.
