Bachelor refresher course

The refresher course for academic writing takes place twice a semester. Here, students are supported by the Student Degree Programme Counselling to clarify questions on the following topics relating to theses: Formalities, suitable sources, literature research, citation, layout requirements, etc.

The course is aimed at students who are already in the process of writing their Bachelor's theses or immediately beforehand, i.e. who already have a topic and supervision.

To support this, there is a Moodle course in which all important documents are compiled and content is summarised(https://moodle.hsnr.de/course/view.php?id=436). The password is: thesis. Other helpful documents such as the handout on gender-inclusive writing or general tips on academic writing can also be found there.

Current information:

The refresher course for academic writing in the summer semester 2024 will take place

  • on Wednesday, 22 May 2024 (during the campus week), 12:00 - 16:00 in SE02
  • online in July (date to follow)

If you are interested, please contact Nora.Ruetten(at)hs-niederrhein.de and name the supervisor(s) of your Bachelor's thesis.
