Forum Banking & Finance sheds light on the topic of SME bonds using the example of Katjes International

The Hochschule Niederrhein's Faculty of Business Administration and Economics invites you to the next expenditure of the Banking & Finance Forum. On Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6 p.m. (main auditorium, Webschulstraße 41-43), the focus will be on the topic of SME financing using the example of the Katjes International bond.

This expenditure will also be organized by Dr Bernhard Müller, Professor of General Business Administration, in particular Finance. Admission is free. External guests are requested to register by e-mail at forum_bankingandfinance(at)hs-niederrhein.de
.

The issuance of bonds is not yet widespread among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In 2023, for example, only 24 bonds were issued with a placement volume of EUR 788 million. On the other hand, the SME bond is a comparatively young financing instrument that - despite some setbacks in the past - can prove to be a supplement to conventional forms of financing and investment among issuers and investors.

The Forum Banking & Finance takes a look at the development potential of the SME bond. In his presentation, Stephan Milde, CFA of Katjes International, will explain the design and placement of such bonds in a practical orientation.
