Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.

As a communication designer, you prepare a client's messages and information so that they are perceived. Due to the wide range of media possibilities, communication design is the collective term for a whole series of - in some cases highly specialized - occupational fields which, on a common training basis, cover different areas of responsibility. Such as:

  • Corporate Design
  • Graphic design
  • Editorial design
  • Interface design
  • Photography
  • illustration
  • Advertising

What makes the work in these areas particularly interesting is the tension between traditional, analog and new, digital tools and media, including social media.

At designkrefeld, the personal interaction between lecturers and students is close to our hearts. The university teachers / lecturers support you in your creative development and promote your strengths. As a team, we work closely together and jointly develop ideas for projects that make life more understandable, more interesting, more beautiful, sometimes more humorous, and in the very best case, better. The realization of these concepts is made possible above all by the versatile, professional equipment of our workshops (photo studio, photo lab, animation studio - green box, printmaking workshop, screen printing workshop, printing workshop). We not only emphasize conceptual and digital skills, but also manual skills - which you can learn on your own at designkrefeld under professional guidance.
